Riffa: The Arab Women’s Council (AWC) has honoured Dr. Hala Jamal, head of Riffa Women’s Cultural Association (RWCA), Bahrain, among a group of Arab females activists from the Arab Gulf, Lebanon and Jordan for their outstanding leadership, management and excellence in assuming social responsibilities at the level of the Arab region.
Ms Leena AlDaghlawi Mekerzal, head of the AWC, said that the awardees have proven capacity and competence in challenging the difficulties they met, while providing the financial support necessary for the development of responsible leadership that is directly connected to excellence in performance, and wise implementation of strategies”.
Dr. Jamal affirmed this honor by the Arab organization for the social responsibility is an additional incentive to continue working and excelling in the field of women’s empowerment in the Arab world and helping them better their lives and transform their families and communities.
Ms Jamal referred to the great attention being given to women by the wise leadership is giving women in the Kingdom of Bahrain. “It has been presented in their progressive leadership projects and programs adopted by the Supreme Council for Women in Bahrain, led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its impact in promoting and empowering Bahraini women politically, economically and socially.”
She added that one of the fruits of such care was crowned by three female victories in parliamentary and municipal elections, a matter that confirms the progress and pioneering leadership of Bahraini women that made them eventually the most influential women in the region.
Dr. Jamal has received, along with outstanding Arab personalities from Arab countries, a shield excellence and a certificate of accreditation the list of awardees included Sheikha Dr. Hind Al Qasimi, Major Amina Al-Baloshi and Thuraya Al-Awadi from United Arab Emirates, Dr. Amal Hamad Al-Farhan, Lina Hourani and Judge Taghreed Hikmat from Jordan, Dr. Salwa Al-Khalil Al-Amin and IlhamFariha and Lori Haitayan from Lebanon, Ms Sahar al-Kaabi from Oman and Nancy Baker and Huda Jalal Yassi from Egypt, and Dr. Lama Al Sulaiman from Saudi Arabia.
