MANAMA: The Kingdom of Bahrain, which boasts being the host of 402 financial institutions, needs to exploit media potential, according to a leading banker.
“Bahrain has so much to share and tell the world about its success stories and sustainable developments across the board,” Adnan A Yousif, President and Chief Executive of the Al Baraka Group (ABG) told The24X7News Bahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com).
Adnan, who is Vice Chairman of the Bankers association of Bahrain (BAB), was speaking after the BAB’s Meet the Press and urged the government entities like Economic Development Board to be proactive by utilizing media as partner in business.
“We are lacking in supporting the media and in the wider media landscape Bahrain is not presented as it should have been,” Adnan said, adding that spending adds and extending financial support to media outlets enabling such entities to retain and exploit the talent is a key in this rapidly evolving media savvy world.
Adnan was not reluctant to quote example of the UAE and said that media was behind the success story of the United Arab Emirates.
