Manama: Coinciding with the Bahraini Women’s Day commemoration, eGovernment Authority (eGA) honoured its female employees, highlighting the important role of women in society and their significant influence in the development and cultural advancements of the Kingdom as well as their impact in the government and private sectors.
The Authority hosted a staff function for their female employees where Dr. Zakareya Ahmed Alkhaja Deputy CEO of the eGovernment Authority, attended the function along with senior officials from the Authority. The female employees were awarded with gifts and tokens of appreciation.
Dr. Alkhaja praised the role of women and their efforts in balancing between their social and professional lives. He further stated: “Women has successfully occupied leading positions in work field, and in eGovernment we fully support the female employees and always seek for opportunities in developing her career path within the authority.”
The eGovernment Authority emphasizes on the importance of Bahraini women and the recent formation of the Equal Opportunities Committee that was established in agreement with the Supreme Council for Women. This new unit is a joint effort between both parties to elevate and strengthen the role of women and enhance equal opportunities for the Authority’s female employees.
The annual celebration of Bahraini Women is a nation-wide initiative from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW). This year, the event was dedicated to the achievements of women in the military field.
