MANAMA: The Kingdom will be affected by a cold wave accompanied by strong winds as from on Thursday, January 8, according to Adel Adham, Director Meteorological at the Ministry of Transportation and Communications.
He said that the lowest temperature ever in Bahrain was 2.7, and was recorded on January 10, 1964.
He said during the coming days, the weather will be cold, and partly cloudy with rising sand and strong wind, adding that the temperature will drop remarkably.
He warned the citizens, especially sea goers, to be cautious.
He added that during the next two days, winds will be northwesterly, with moderate speed, becoming southeasterly and warm later on Tuesday.
He pointed out that the average temperature was 20 C in December, and the lowest was 14 C.
