MANAMA: An international forum spotlighting green economy and technologies will open on Monday in Manama.
His Majesty’s Personal Representative, President of the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa will patronize Bahrain Green Tech Forum.
The three-day symposium is being organized by the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
The forum will shed light on latest global trends in green economy and technologies and showcase successful regional and international case studies in this expanding sector.
The forum will bring together key international experts specialized in green economy and technologies, along with decision-makers, government officials and leaders of the public sector and investors from Bahrain.
The inaugural session will be attended by UNIDO Director-General Li Yong, who will make his first ever visit to an Arab country since his appointment. Other VIP guests, invitees and media figures will also be present.
Bahrain and Kuwait will sign a two-year environmental executive programme (2015-2016) on the sidelines of the forum in the presence of Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
SCE Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina will seal the deal along with Kuwait Environment Public Authority (EPA) Director-General Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Humood Al-Sabah
