Al Sakhir Palace: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Wednesday held talks with the visiting Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, focusing on regional security, stability and the efforts exerted to combat terrorism and extremism.
The talks were held at Sakhir Palace and both leaders reviewed fraternal and ever growing between two brotherly nations.
HM King received Pakistan’s Premier in the presence of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
HM King held parleys with the Pakistani Prime Minister, in the presence of HRH the Premier, HRH the Crown Prince and a number of Bahraini and Pakistani Ministers.
HM King Hamad praised the visit of the Pakistani Prime Minister to Bahrain, describing it as an added value to growing bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation.
HM the King hailed the agreements and memoranda of understandings (MoUs) signed by both countries which, he said, will further bolster the Bahraini-Pakistani relations. He reviewed strong and deep-rooted historic ties binding countries and ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international issues of common interest.
HM the King applauded the positive outcome of his historic visit to Pakistan last March, hailing the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed to further promote bilateral cooperation and exchange experiences in various fields. He also praised Pakistan’s honourable stances towards Bahrain, commending the pivotal role of Pakistan in serving Arab and Islamic issues and fostering global security and stability.
HM King Hamad lauded the effective contribution of the Pakistani community to Bahrain’s development. He asked the Pakistani Prime Minister to convey his greetings to the Pakistani President as well as his best wishes of more progress and prosperity to the Pakistani people.
The Pakistani Premier conveyed to HM the King the greetings of Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain as well as his best wishes of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain and its people.
He also thanked HM the King for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him and his accompanying delegation.
He lauded HM the King’s keenness to further cement bilateral relations, stressing the Pakistani leadership and people’s respect to Bahrain. He also reiterated his country’s keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation, wishing Bahrain further prosperity and development.
HM the King hosted a dinner banquet in honour of the Pakistani Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation.
