Gudaibiya Palace: His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stressed the need of cooperation between legislature and executive branches of the government to protect the nation against threats. “United, we can protect our hard-won accomplishments, and thwart all attempts to destroy them,” HRH Premier said.
He was speaking as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace on Monday Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and former Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, in the presence of MPs, Shura members and state officials.
HRH Premier expressed confidence that cooperation between the executive and legislative branches will increase in the coming, especially regarding facilitating investment and economic projects in the Kingdom.
He expressed hope that the two sides will cooperate in supporting the tourism and investment in the Bahraini people’s hospitality and warm welcome of various visitors.
He expressed optimism in the National Assembly members’ keenness to support Bahrain and its people, stressing that the executive and legislative branches share the same goals of developing the nation and serving the citizens.
HRH Premier said that Bahrain is at the threshold of a new phase of national work aiming to protect the homeland and serve the citizens using all available resources.
HRH Premier re-affirmed that attempts to sow divide among the members of the one-family Bahrain people will lead to no results, and are doomed to fail.
“Those behind those desperate attempts have to draw lessons from the National history through which the Bahraini citizens have proved their true mettle and unity at times of adversity,” he added.
He asserted that the Bahraini citizens’ patriotic stances, which have been recorded with golden letter, have, throughout history, showcased the genuine mettle of the Bahraini people.
“We have always been –and we still are- united, and we will overcome all crises,” he said.
He stressed that security is the most urgent need in which no negligence will be tolerated.
“We are all required to protect the nation, cement national unity and social cohesion and face those seeking evil for Bahrain and its people,” he said.
Shura Council Chairman and members, as well as MPs expressed the legislative branch’s appreciation of the support allocated to it by the government, led by HRH Premier.
They reiterated support to government’s policies and projects aiming to develop tourism and investment, given their importance in spurring the national economy.
They expressed full support to areas of executive-legislature cooperation, and efforts to counter attempts to tamper with national security and stability.
They also affirmed resolve to confront foreign challenges facing Bahrain, and keenness to defend the kingdom at all international gatherings.
