MANAMA: Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla has denounced foreign interference in Bahrain’s internal Affairs.
“Bahrain is the state of institutions and law. Its sovereignty and independence has to be respected,” he said, reiterating the Representatives Council’s rejection of Foreign Interference in its domestic affairs.
He criticised the double human rights standards adopted by some countries, western federations and human rights organisations in stoking terrorism, violence and violations which threaten national security and stability as well as the social texture.
He emphasised that the legal and judicial measures taken are guaranteed by the law to ward off threats to national security.
He also asserted the Representatives Council’s keenness to follow up on the government’s implementation of the National Assembly’s recommendations, mainly in combating terrorism and its instigators inside Bahrain and abroad.
He pointed out that Bahrain’s security and stability is top priority in national work for they are a prerequisite for any development.
He stressed that anyone who transgresses the law and threatens national security will be dealt with legally for the sake of the state’s prestige and to stave off threats to the nation and its interests.
