MANAMA: Over 750 exhibitors representing 20 countries are taking part in this year’s 26th edition of Autumn Fair, spanning over 15,400 square meters of exhibition space.
It is estimated that over 200,000 products from participating countries are at display including the handicrafts, furniture, garments, silk clothes, dry fruits, eatables, spices, hand-knotted carpets from Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan and many other countries. The rare glimpse of woolen clothes, especially during this season experiencing extreme cold weather has emerged an instant attraction for the visitors from Bahrain and the GCC countries.
Held under the patronage of the Minister of Industry and Commerce Zayed R. Al Zayani, Undersecretary of Commerce Affairs Nader Al Moayyed opened the Autumn Fair 2015 at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Khaled Mohamed Fahmy Abdel Aal , Egyptian Minister of Environment and a number of ambassadors.
This annual event runs for nine days from 21st – 29th January is the Kingdom of Bahrain’s largest and most popular consumer products event organized by Arabian Exhibition Management.
The organizers confirm that this year event brought together over 750 exhibitors from 20 countries to display a wide-range of products including arts and crafts, boutiques and fashion, electrical goods and appliances, furniture and furnishings, house ware and decors, kitchenware, leather goods, shoes, cosmetics, toys, textiles, specialty foods and many more. This year’s Bahraini business participants, as in the past, will be offering special deals to visitors.
The Autumn Fair is the biggest gathering of distributors, retailers and agents presenting the widest range of choices and competitive prices to shoppers whilst providing a venue for forging business-to-business relations and cooperation between local and international companies. It is expected to exceed last year’s 191,000 visitors and shoppers from inside and outside of Bahrain mainly from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who attended the 9-day extravaganza. The 20 participating countries include Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE and Yemen.
