MANAMA: Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan held talks with Pakistani Ambassador to Bahrain Muhammed Saeed Khan.
Humaidan underscored the importance of investing the deep rooted bilateral relations in enhancing the exchange of technical and professional successful expertise in the labour field, in line with His Majesty King Hamad’s historic state visit to Pakistan last March and the recent visit of the Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to Bahrain.
He said the two visits had boosted bilateral coordination in all fields.
They agreed on the importance of activating the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two countries in the fields of labour and vocational training, along with setting up mechanisms and frameworks to implement what is stated in it (MoU).
Humaidan lauded the Pakistani community’s role in Bahrain’s progress, adding that Bahrain highly values Pakistan’s positive stances towards it at international forums.
Ambassador Khan commended Bahrain’s labour legislations and laws aligned with international labour conventions that protect workers’ rights, valuing the protection and care enjoyed by the Pakistani community.
He affirmed that Bahrain and Pakistan had agreed on preparing the operational plan of the forthcoming MoU.
