MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa welcomed his Pakistani counterpart Muhammad Nawaz Sharif upon arrival at the Bahrain International Airport on Wednesday an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to hold talks on ways and means to bolster bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived on two-day official visit early on Wednesday and was accorded a warm welcome by his Bahraini counterpart HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
Senior Royal Family members, state officials and two countries’ ambassadors were also present.
At the VIP lounge, HRH Premier and Pakistani counterpart reviewed the Bahraini-Pakistani relations of friendship and cooperation.
HRH Premier welcomed the visit, and stressed its importance in strengthening bilateral ties at all levels.
He expressed hope that the Pakistani Prime Minister’s visit will contribute to expanding areas of cooperation, especially in the trade and investment fields, in light of the two countries’ shared desire to develop cooperation between them to achieve their interests.
HRH Premier expressed satisfaction at the advanced level of bilateral relations in various fields, wishing his Pakistani counterpart and his accompanying delegation a happy stay in the kingdom.
Pakistani Prime Minister expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for welcoming his visit, and praised the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him and his delegation.
He lauded the advanced level of bilateral relations in all fields, wishing the kingdom and its people further progress and prosperity.
A convoy of honour, led by Shura Council and Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim bin Fadhl Al-Buainain, was formed to accompany the kingdom’s distinguished guest.
