Manama: Imams and preachers across the Kingdom have lauded the qualities of the late Saudi Monarch the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who passed away Friday morning.
They recalled his historic honourable stances towards Bahrain and all Arab and Muslim countries, great efforts, righteous initiatives and sincere supplications to Allah Almighty to spread prosperity and peace across the Arab and Muslim countries, as well as the whole world.
This came as orators and Imams of the Sunni Endowments Directorate mourned today the late King Abdulla, asserting that Bahrain and Arab and Islamic nations had lost a wise leader, who had dedicated his life in serving the Islamic Religion, and defending Arab and Islamic causes.
They recalled with appreciation and gratitude the late King’s great supportive stances towards the Kingdom on all occasions, and constant keenness to strengthen his country’s ties with it, asserting that his stances will remain engraved in the hearts of all Bahrainis.
They commended the late monarch’s tremendous efforts to support joint GCC action and strengthen GCC pillars, praising his pioneering initiative to move from the “cooperation” phase to the “union” one.
They also praised his crucial role in enhancing cooperation and solidarity among Arab and Muslim countries.
They prayed Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the late king in eternal peace, grant Saudi people, and the Arab and Islamic nation patience and consolation and bless Saudi Arabia with lasting stability and prosperity, wishing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince HRH Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud every success in continuing the prosperity and good march.
Salat al-ghaib or “prayers for those who have died in a distant place” were held nationwide following today’s Friday sermons. Worshippers supplicated to Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the late King Abdulla and grant him heavenly rewards for his dedication in the service of Islam and the Arab and Islamic nations.
