Manama: InterContinental Regency Bahrain, one of the leading 5 star hotels in the Kingdom, announced the recent promotion of Mohammed Sanad from Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) to Hotel Manager.
Mohammed Sanad, a Bahraini national, has been with the InterContinental Regency Bahrain for the past 15 years. Formerly a military pilot, he had served the Bahrain Amiri Air Force prior to joining the InterContinental Regency Bahrain in 1999 where he started as a Tennis Coach in the Hotel’s Health Club.
With his passion for work, shortly he was promoted to Health Club Manager. Hungry for career progression, he underwent several cross exposure trainings and other leadership development programs and had then progressed to become the Hotel’s Human Resources Manager, and was further promoted to HR Director and then to his succeeding roles as Hotel No. 2.
“I am honoured to have been chosen to be the Hotel Manager of one of the most distinguished and prestigious hotels in the Kingdom of Bahrain and promise to uphold the high standards and status of the InterContinental Regency Bahrain,” Mohammed Sanad said.
“There is a broad misconception on the available jobs being offered in the hotel industry, along with career growth opportunities in the hospitality sector in general. The reality is totally different as there are wide arrays of employment opportunities in the hospitality sector waiting to be tapped by Bahraini nationals such as jobs in the Accounting, Human Resources, Engineering and IT sectors. Hence, I advise the youth of Bahrain to wade into corporate waters of internationally renowned chains such as the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), and have their dreams become reality.”
