MUHARRAQ: The BD 20million Seef Mall Muahrraq has opened its door for business on 31st January bringing a completely new shopping-cum-grocery experience for the people of that area.
The new venture of the Seef Properties which is also Bahrain’s first waterfront shopping destination will create 600 new jobs in retail and business sectors, according to Robert Addison, the Seef Properties General Manager.
Robert Addison briefing the media on the Seef Properties 3rd Mall in Bahrain was quick to play down the concerns like parking and may be an irritant for the Culture Ministry as the Mall sits next to the Arad Fort.
“We have adequate parking already made available and another parking will be ready coming Saturday, Addison said, adding that the Mall can also cater for the needs of the tourists and visitors of Arad Fort by offering services.
About the main roads linking mall with the highway he said the talks were on going between the relevant Ministries and broadening the approaching roads would be taken care of by the concerned departments.
This Mall is envisaged, he said, to cater for the needs of Muharraq area by providing them a unique shopping experience while kids can enjoy food and also can have a fun at the designated play areas including the Magic Island.
The mall is 100% leased out with last occupant to come into action by end of May while 64% mall is functioning in terms of stores etc.
To commemorate the opening of Bahrain’s first waterfront shopping destination, Seef Mall Muharraq management hosted a guided tour of the mall for members of the media.
The waterfront shopping destination has a unique view of the Manama and Juffair skylines and features a Geant hypermarket, 134 stores, a 14-theatre Cineplex, a food court, restaurants and a Magic Island family entertainment centre. Many of the malls outlets are now operational, with more still to open in the coming weeks. The mall can accommodate 450 vehicles with undercover parking. The wide range of shops and entertainment options cater to the needs of the residents of Muharraq and Amwaj alike.
Seef Mall Muharraq is a joint venture between Seef Properties, The Malls Company and Hayakala and will be managed by Seef Properties.
