MANAMA: The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA) have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at promoting Bahrain’s exhibition and convention sectors.
The memo was signed by BCCI board member and head of the Promotion, Exhibition and Convention Committee Ahlam Yousef Janahi and BECA Chief Executive Hassan Jafar Mohammed.
“The MoU will boost cooperation between both sides in developing the exhibition and convention industry and promote Bahrain locally, regionally and internationally,” Ahlam Janahi, told The24X7News Bahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com)
Engineer Nabil Mahmood, Chief Executive at BCCI told The24X7News that the move was a part of strategy aimed at helping and promoting the meeting, incentive, conference and exhibition (MICE) sector.
“We at the BCCI continuously working with partners to reposition Bahrain as the MICE destination in the region and there will be more agreements in this regard,” he said, adding the BCCI is also working closely with the GCC and Arab Chambers levels to highlight Bahrain’s potential in MICE sector.
The BCCI Committee’s member Wael Mirza said that efforts were on to promote Bahrain’s MICE sector at the regional and international levels. “We are seeking different partnerships and working arrangements within the framework of the BCCI’s committee to bolster Bahrain’s exhibitions and conferences segments,” Wael added.
