Manama: In line with its commitment to showcase the aviation legacy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to an international audience and continuously enhance the passenger experience, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body and operator of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), launched the ‘Flying Feathers’ photo exhibition at the terminal’s departure lounge.
The exhibition was inaugurated by BAC’s Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al-Binfalah, in the presence of BAC staff and senior officials.
The exhibition provides a perfect opportunity for passengers to view rare historical images of BIA and have a glimpse through the book titled “Flying Feathers, a History of Aviation in Bahrain” which captures the story of the Kingdom’s aviation history. The exhibition will stay up for one month, giving visitors a memorable farewell upon departure.
BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport’s contribution to the local economy in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision. In its operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA’s capabilities and cater to the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.
