Manama: Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Development Society signed an agreement with 4Spots to develop a comprehensive portal (www.bahrainsme.com) offering many services to its members including legal contract services, advise on administrative and accounting requirements for SMEs as well as a fully automated application process. Payment of membership fees is also available via PayPal.
The agreement was signed by Ahmed Subah Alsaloom, Society Chairman and Srusti Ranjan, Co-Founder and COO of 4Spots. In addition, Ammar Awachi, Head of Alwani Committee at the Society was also present.
“It is our pleasure to launch this portal which contains information about the role and goals of the society. We hope it will help us reach to a vast number of businessmen and women with the aim of informing them about our initiatives that focus on supporting this vital sector of the Bahraini economy,” Ahmed Subah Alsaloom, Society Chairman, said.
“This portal includes a user friendly platform to apply for a society membership. Also, we have added a payment gateway through Paypal for paying the membership fees in order to make the process easier.”
Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Development Society offers many services and benefits to its members including free financial and legal consultations, auditing service, and special prices for transportation vehicles from Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons.
“We are very proud of our role in supporting the growth of SMEs in Bahrain. Recently we have created a micro-finance portfolio for our members and they are eligible to for it once they pass specific requirements.”
Being a member of the Bahrain SMEs Development Society is an essential prerequisite for benefiting from the services offered by the Farouk Almoayyed Enterprise Development Centre, which is an incubator catered to hold up to 20 offices or shops.
Alsaloom called for SME owners and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the services offered by the Society and Farouk Almoayyed Center by joining the society. He also mentioned that the total number of members at the society has reached 400 since its inception in November 2013.
