MANAMA: SSH Bahrain has been awarded the prestigious Ras Al Barr Resort, by PK Development Company, a joint venture between Kuwait Finance House and private investors.
Ras Al Barr Development is located to the south of Durrat Al Bahrain resort and in close proximity to Ras Al Barr. The project will be developed on a total site area of 1100 hectares, with approximately 440 hectares of reclaimed land. The development will require both dredging and reclamation activities as well as subsequent development of the reclaimed land mass. The first phase is an open gated development and consists of 3 islands comprising of small to medium residential clusters, water front apartment blocks, souk, yacht club, 4 hotels, schools, commercial area, mosque, and beach area. The second phase consists of the gated community development comprising of medium to large residential waterfront mix spread on 14 islands.
SSH won the contract through a tendering process, after competing with other local and international consultancies, to provide master planning, architecture and engineering consultancy services in the new 1.5 million sqm reclamation development located in the south of the country’s main land.
