BIC, Sakhir: Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) is all set to raise the temperatures and generate a vibrant mood across the Kingdom ahead of the 2015 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
Starting from March 20, BIC will be holding Race Fever – a nation-wide celebration aimed at drumming up excitement for the three-day Formula One race weekend, happening April 17-18-19 in Sakhir.
Race Fever is set to be highlighted by four main events: a cross-country promotional tour, an extreme motorbike stunt show, a fantastic raffle for a chance to win a brand new 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe, and back-to-back live performances by British pop sensations The Vamps and talented Swedish DJ Otto Knows.
Race Fever will kick off on March 20, when five branded cars with promotional teams will drive around the island while waving flags to get the public involved and to spread the word about the Grand Prix weekend.
The convoy will begin from Al Basta Market at Bahrain International Karting Circuit next to BIC in Sakhir. They will then go to Bahrain City Centre, Motorox in Adliya and then to its final destination at The Lagoon in Amwaj Islands.
The extreme motorbike stunt show will follow on April 2 and 3. It will feature the Red Bull X Fighter Jams, and they will be putting on a stunning performance over two successive days, also at Amwaj Islands.
Race Fever will then come to a grand conclusion on April 11 with both the raffle and the back-to-back concerts taking place.
The Vamps and Otto Knows will surely get the crowd grooving to their own unique styles of music, while on the same day one lucky winner will be able to take home a magnificent 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe.
All those who have already purchased their tickets to this year’s Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will be able to attend all the Race Fever events free of charge.
All ticket holders will also be automatically entered into the raffle. Race-goers who purchased their tickets during BIC’s Early Bird Promotion period held earlier this year will have twice the chance to win, per ticket. Those who purchased their tickets after and up until the raffle date will have only a single chance, per ticket.
The draw will be made electronically in the presence of BIC executives and officials from the Ministry of Commerce. The winner will be informed by telephone or e-mail, and the winner’s name will also be posted on BIC’s official website, www.bahraingp.com.
