BIC, Al Sakhir: The Kingdom of Bahrain has once again hosted a successful Grand Prix in terms of attendance and overall arrangements for this global sporting event, according to a senior official at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).
“We are pleased that grand stand was completely sold out even before the start of the event and the interest from the people is something is very encouraging for us,” BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa during his visit to BIC Media Centre told The24X7News Bahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com).
“I am fortunate that we have a very good team at the BIC and the success of the event is the result of the hard work and commitment of the each contributing staff,” Shaikh Salman said, adding that they were expecting the coming two days very exciting.
This year’s Bahrain Grand Prix is the fourth of 19 races on the 2015 FIA Formula One World Championship. It will be the second successive year that the race will be held under floodlights, making for a brilliant spectacle for race fans who are both attending the event and those watching on live television from around the world.
Racing will also be held all weekend in a pair of supporting championships, including the GP2 Series and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East.
Meanwhile, race-goers will be able to enjoy a wide variety of family entertainment all throughout the weekend. This will be highlighted by a mega concert on Saturday featuring global hip-hop superstar Pitbull. All those with tickets to the weekend will be able to gain access to the concert and enjoy Pitbull’s generation-transcending music.
