BIC, Al Sakhir: Tickets continue to sell fast for this weekend’s 2015 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix as Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) announced on Wednesday that University Grandstands One and Two were completely sold out.
The University Grandstands are located opposite turns two and three and they offer a fantastic view of the exciting Michael Schumacher corner, turns nine and 10, and part of the back straight.
Tickets have also already sold out for BIC’s Main Grandstand, but they are still available for University Grandstand Three and Victory Grandstands at BD60 apiece, as well as for the Batelco Grandstand at BD120 each and the Turn One Grandstand at BD100 apiece.
Tickets can be purchased at the BIC Stands in Bahrain City Centre and Seef Mall. They can also be bought from the BIC website at www.bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17-450000.
The Bahrain Grand Prix takes the Kingdom by storm this Friday to Sunday (April 17 to 19).
There will be plenty of opportunities for fans to enjoy exclusive events that will take them as close to the pinnacle of motorsport as possible.
BIC is inviting the public to make the most of the Formula One Drivers’ autograph session scheduled to take place Saturday (Editor’s note: April 18) from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
All of the top flight’s star talents will be there, including defending World champion Lewis Hamilton and former champions Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button.
Also set to meet their adoring supporters will be Nico Rosberg, Felipe Massa, Valtteri Bottas, Romain Grosjean, Daniel Ricciardo, Sergio Perez, Nico Hulkenberg, Felipe Nasr, Marcus Ericsson, Daniil Kvyat, Pastor Maldonado, Carlos Sainz Jr., Max Verstappen, Roberto Merhi and Will Stevens.
The autograph session will be the perfect opportunity for fans to meet motorsport’s globally renowned stars, take pictures with them and have Formula One memorabilia signed.
It will be held near the Gulf Air Tent on the far end of the BIC vending area, near the vicinity of Bahrain International Karting Circuit.
The autograph session is just one of several special activities Formula One fans will be able to enjoy this weekend at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
On Thursday, all ticket holders will be able to enjoy an exclusive Formula One Pit Walk, starting at 3pm and ending at 4.45pm.
Fans will get the chance to see their favourite Formula One teams busy at work in their respective garages as they gear up for the start of action on Friday with a pair of hour-and-a-half Free Practice sessions.
All ticket-holders will be able to take part in the Pit Walk.
Meanwhile, all those seated on the Main Grandstand will have a chance to win one of 260 fantastic prizes in BIC’s “10 Every 10” raffle taking place during Saturday’s Formula One qualifying and Sunday’s night race.
The raffle on Saturday will run from the start of qualifying at 6pm until the end of the session one hour later. On Sunday, it will begin at 4.45pm, continue through the start of the Grand Prix at 6pm and conclude at the end of the race.
A total of 260 valuable prizes will be up for the taking including brand new, top-of-the-line electronic products such as the Apple iPhone 6, Sony M2 Aqua, Sony Xperia T3, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, Samsung Galaxy E5, Samsung Galaxy A5, Fit Bit Scale and Charge, LG G3, HTC Desire 820, HTC Re Camera, Huawei Mate 7, Samsung A7, HTC Desire i, iPad Mini 1 32GB, Go Pro Hero 4 Black, HTC 1 M8 Mini.
The raffle is available only for fans who are seated along BIC’s sold out Main Grandstand. Winners will be identified by their seat numbers; therefore, make sure you are in your seat in order to claim being eligible for a prize.
This year’s Bahrain Grand Prix is the fourth of 19 races on the 2015 FIA Formula One World Championship. It will be the second successive year that Bahrain’s race is being held under floodlights, making for a brilliant spectacle for race fans who are both attending the event and those watching on live television from around the world.
Racing will also be held all weekend in a pair of supporting championships, including the GP2 Series and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East.
Meanwhile, race-goers will be able to enjoy a wide variety of family entertainment all throughout the weekend. This will be highlighted by a mega concert on Saturday featuring global hip-hop superstar Pitbull. All those with tickets to the weekend will be able to gain access to the concert and enjoy Pitbull’s generation-transcending music.
