Manama: The eGovernment Authority (eGA) in collaboration with CrediMax, announced plans to remodel all 34 eKiosks located at various parts of Bahrain in an aim to introduce state-of-the-art kiosks that better suit the needs of citizens and residents. The purpose of launching the innovative kiosks by September is to ensure more developed user-experience and seamless payment transactions for eGovernment services made through credit and debit cards.
eGovernment Authority CEO Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed said on the initiative by stating that it is being delivered to keep in line with the current trends and growing needs of citizens and residents, who require faster and easier services. He also stressed on the authority’s eagerness to provide services in the best way possible – offering self-payment services is a step closer to achieving this goal.
Al-Qaed also added that re-designing the kiosks comes as part of the strategic objectives that aim to achieve greater excellence in public services and raise efficiency. In addition, encourage effective partnerships with various stakeholders in order to accomplish an integrated environment amongst the public and private sectors – ensuring that citizens and residents receive the highest quality of services in the most convenient manner.
“We are honored to partner with the eGovernment Authority and to be a part of Bahrain’s national programs,” CrediMax Chief Executive Yousif Ali Mirza, Chief Executive of CrediMax, said.
“Self-service systems assist the public to access eGovernment services and process payments via credit or debit cards in a more effective, efficient manner and we are proud to be a part of this process.”
“CrediMax is pleased to play an active role as a strategic partner in this collaboration as we are constantly supporting the national economy. It has been continuously guided by the country’s Economic Vision 2030 in every aspect of our business,” Mirza, said.
The eKisoks is one of the many channels offered by the eGovernment Authority which operates as a self-service system, very much like an ATM. The eGA will work on developing the electronic service and providing a more innovative and unique system compared to the existing one, as well as focus on placing the machines in practical, easy-to-access areas that will most benefit the citizens and residents of Bahrain.
