BIC, Al Sakhir: The stage is set for a thrilling climax to Bahrain International Circuit’s (BIC) Race Fever campaign, with back-to-back international concerts and a grand raffle taking place on Saturday April 11 in Sakhir.
The second of four major Race Fever events took place over this past weekend with a spectacular display of freestyle motocross stunts featuring the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams.
Now, the attention turns to the BIC stage for British pop sensations The Vamps and talented Swedish DJ Otto Knows, who will be performing live to the delight of their fans.
The Vamps will be the first to take to the stage Saturday night at 7.30pm. They will be followed directly by Otto Knows. Gates open at 6pm.
The live shows by The Vamps and Otto Knows are a part of Race Fever, BIC’s nation-wide campaign aiming to “Light Up Your Nights” and build interest and excitement for the upcoming Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
The live concerts are a part of the final day’s programme of Race Fever. Also on the cards for the last day is a fantastic raffle for a chance to win a brand new Jaguar F-Type Coupe.
All those who have already purchased their tickets to this year’s Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will be able to attend the Race Fever concerts free of charge.
All ticket holders are also automatically entered into the raffle. Those who purchased their tickets during BIC’s Early Bird Promotion period held earlier this year will have twice the chance to win, per ticket. Those who purchased their tickets afterwards and up until Saturday will have only a single chance, per ticket.
The draw will be made electronically in the presence of BIC executives and officials from the Ministry of Commerce. The winner will be informed by telephone or e-mail, and the winner’s name will also be posted on BIC’s official website, www.bahraingp.com.
The Formula One race weekend takes place between April 17 and 19 in Sakhir.
The Vamps and Otto Knows will be the first-ever international music superstars who will be performing live in the kingdom in the lead-up to the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend. That makes for a wonderful new addition to the race weekend’s lead-up and the overall experience at BIC in Sakhir.
Both acts are among the world’s most talented young artists who are quickly growing in popularity in their respective musical genres.
The Vamps includes four members, including singer Brad Simpson, guitarist James McVey, drummer Tristan Evans and bassist Connor Ball.
The talented teenagers hooked up via their homemade demos on YouTube. Together, they created a series of punkish, acoustic-driven covers of chart-conquering pop hits by the likes of One Direction, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars, and have also released their own arena-shaking anthems.
Set to complement The Vamps to cap Race Fever is Swedish DJ Otto Jettman, also known as Otto Knows. Quickly becoming one of Stockholm’s most popular exports, Otto Knows is the next in the country’s rich lineage of explosive musical talent.
Welcomed into the international clubbing circuit and charts alike, Otto Knows has come to embody the true potential of passionate creativity within global dance music. His development as a DJ and producer came through the first-hand experience of touring alongside the Refune Records head honcho Sebastian Ingrosso.
His breakthrough single was ‘Million Voices’ and he has made an even bigger name for himself with ‘Parachute’. Otto Knows will surely be bringing a lot more to the table across the global dance floor for the foreseeable future, and one of the places he will start is BIC.
Tickets to the 2015 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix can now be purchased at the BIC sales outlets in Bahrain City Centre and Seef Mall, online at bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17-450000.
The 2015 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix is the fourth round of this year’s FIA Formula One World Championship. The big night race will be complemented by other top international racing series taking place during the weekend, along with plenty of fun family entertainment off the track.
