MANAMA: The second Arab High-level Forum on Sustainable Development has concluded this evening in Bahrain. The three-day symposium was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.
The countries participating at the high-profile forum have issued the “Manama Declaration”, at the conclusion of the symposium, incorporating the final recommendations which reflected the outcome of the plenary discussion sessions on sustainable development.
Addressing the final session, Social Development Minister Faeqa Said Al-Saleh expressed Bahrain’s pride at issuing the historic document which represents a crucial roadmap for the future of sustainable development in the Arab World.
She paid tribute to HRH the Premier for his patronage and keenness on reaching recommendations which satisfy all Arab countries in the symposium. She announced that the “Manama Declaration” would be submitted to the 3rd session of the high-level political forum, set to open on June 26 and conclude on July 8 in New York. The participants extended deepest thanks to HRH the Premier for patronising the forum, which contributed to its success in reaching crucial recommendations advocating Arab and global sustainable development.
