Manama: Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) recently enrolled 60 of its Bahraini employees in Tamkeen’s Career Progression Programme as part of a training agreement between the two sides.
BAS will utilise the programme, a Tamkeen flagship support initiative which helps employers address performance gaps of their Bahraini employees through bespoke or standard training, to develop work-related competencies, to develop its internal human capital, boost their productivity and efficiency, and enhance the level of services provided to its customers.
“The Career Progression Programme is among the key initiatives launched by Tamkeen. It provides accessible opportunities for Bahrainis to continuously develop their skills in line with the changing market landscape and accelerate their career growth, which in turn supports Bahrainis’ employability and enhances their contribution to the national economy,” Commenting on the announcement Tamkeen’s Vice-President of Human Capital Development, Amal Al-Kooheji said.
“The two-pronged approach of the programme which serves the needs of both company and employee and its customisable high-quality training options is rooted in Tamkeen’s strategic focus on achieving results; being customer-oriented, and enhancing quality,” Al-Kooheji added.
In addition to accredited certifications, employees who successfully complete the training also receive salary increases which are subsidised by Tamkeen for up to 18 months.
“It is part of our profound commitment to develop our human capital and invest in our future leaders. BAS has been and continue to be in the far front of fostering talented Bahraini to be the builders of new era in the industry,” Abdullah Abokhamseen (CEO of BAS) said.
