MANAMA: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is organizing “Bahrain Export Trade Expansion Forum” in collaboration with the United National Development Program which opens on Sunday at the Diplomat Hotel.
Under the patronage of the Minister of Industry and Commerce Zayed R. Alzayani, the forum includes presentation by consultants in the field of international trade and opportunities to access different markets.
This forum comes based on the recommendations, studies and expertise achieved by the Bahraini Trade Capacity Development Project in collaboration between MOIC and UNDP.
These studies confirm multiple options of Bahrain trade policy to gain traditional and new markets and to develop non-oil export from diverse and sophisticated industrial projects products and small and medium sized companies to achieve greater efficiency and operation of the national workforce skilled.
This forum achieves a new start to expand Bahraini export, in furtherance the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in collaboration with Economic Development Board, Tamkeen, Bahrain Development Bank to implement initiative to establish Bahrain Export Development Center with aim to develop skills and provide information and marketing consulting in particular the small and medium enterprises.
The forum will be participated by UNDP representative in the Kingdom of Bahrain Peter Grohmann, Dr. John R. Stewart, Jr from USA, Huma Fakhar from Pakistan and Famke Schaap from Holland.
