Gudaibia Palace: Deputy King, His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on Tuesday met with Arab ministers and international representatives participating in the Arab Forum on Sustainable Development in the Kingdom, at Gudaiybia Palace.
His Royal Highness highlighted Bahrain’s significant progress in the field of sustainable development, and affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to achieving future goals in line with international efforts. His Royal Highness noted that this commitment has been taken into account within the Government Programme 2015-2018, in line with His Majesty King Hamad’s reform and development programme.
His Royal Highness also stressed the importance of regional and international efforts related to social and humanitarian welfare, and the impact it has on sustainable growth. In this regard, His Royal Highness emphasised Bahrain’s support to forums such as the Arab Forum on Sustainable Development, and the contribution it makes to developing strategic plans for future goals.
His Royal Highness welcomed Bahrain’s hosting of the event, which reflects the Kingdom’s determination to achieve educational, economic, social, and healthcare Millennium Development Goals. His Royal Highness also noted the importance of the forum in providing a strong regional perspective on the post-2015 development agenda.
Senior delegates and participants in the Arab Forum extended their thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness for his continuous support to the Forum, and welcomed the important role played by Bahrain in further bolstering regional and international cooperation to achieve sustainable development.
