MANAMA: The Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan affirmed on Saturday that as part of the ongoing security cooperation with Saudi Arabia, a joint task force continues to investigate attempts to smuggle the high explosives (RDX) and detonators that were seized by Saudi officials. The suspects were arrested and the efficiency and alertness of the security officers in Saudi Arabia was hailed.
The Chief said that the two brotherly countries are working together to identify those involved and that the cooperation had already resulted in successful investigators of several complicated cases.
The Chief said that reports on security in the region indicate threats to the stability of various countries. This requires joint cooperation and coordination between the security authorities in the region as well as of those friendly countries to face the threats.
