MANAMA: The Deputy Chief of Public Security announced on Monday that as part of the duty to protect security and general order and fight terrorism, seven suspects were arrested for their involvement in rioting, vandalism and hurling of Molotov cocktails at a police patrol in Deraz.
The jeep was damaged and a policeman was injured in the attack that took place on June 21. The Chief said that legal proceedings were taken and the crime scene was examined.
The investigation led to the identification and arrest of the suspects after warrants were attained from the Public Prosecution. He affirmed that the Interior Ministry will continue to fight terrorism with professionalism and proper legal means.
