MANAMA: Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS)’s Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC)’s President, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, deputized Youth and Sports Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder on inauguration of Youth City 2030. The project in its sixth version provides 3000 opportunities for Bahraini youths training.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad affirmed the importance of Youth City 2030 as a leading project for training youth and their preparation to work in public and private sectors as well as to start up their own small or medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The project includes latest modern technologies for preparation of capable youth generation to deal with modern tools and future challenges and effectively contribute in ongoing national development.
Implemented in partnership with Tamkeen, the project was launched in the presence of Tamkeen’s board Chairman/Acting CEO Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, members of the Shura Council and Council of Representatives (MPs) and several invitees.
The Minister toured Youth City facilities and listened to a detailed presentation about the four centres i.e. leadership, media, science and technology and arts centres.
