Over 3000 Pakistani and Bahraini nationals turned up on the kick start of the signing ceremony of the Love and Loyalty campaign held at the Pakistan Club premises on Friday.
The opening of the signing ceremony of Love & Loyalty document with HM King and the Kingdom of Bahrain was held on the sidelines of the Pakistan Club Independence Day celebrations which turned both events into a festival and people watched live matches of the Independence Day Volley Ball and Cricket Championships.
The Love & Loyal event was organized by the Chairman and the Executive Board of the Pakistan Club in coordination with the Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA) and was a part of the ongoing national campaign to show solidarity with the leadership, people and the Kingdom of Bahrain b rejecting the foreign interference in the internal affairs of Bahrain.
Mohammed Sajid Sheikh, member Executive Board at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a leading businessman in his remarks warned of serious consequences against any foreign interference in Bahrain. “We as Pakistani and Bahrainis are living as one family for many decades and any nefarious design to cause crack in the social fabric of the Kingdom will be met with stiff resistance. We will stand shoulder to should with our Bahraini brethren and will defend the Kingdom till the last drop of our blood,” said, Sajid Sheikh.
Miss Betsy B Mathieson, Secretary General of BFEA along with the Chairman and the members of the Executive Board Pakistan Club took part during the opening of signing ceremony of the documents at the Club premises and applauded the efforts of the Pakistan Club.
“Pakistan community is one of the most active and important expatriate communities in the Kingdom of and they stand shoulder to shoulder with the leadership and people of Bahrain during all challenging times in the past. I have seen the fervor among Pakistanis during this campaign as they showed up in thousands to renew their allegiance to HM King and in support the Kingdom and the people of this great nation,” said Miss Betsy.
Rear Admiral Pakistan Navy and the Commander of the CTF-150 was chief guest on the occasion and applauded the enthusiasm among Pakistani community on the Independence Day and in his remarks highlighted the importance of expatriate community’s role in the development of Pakistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Head of Chancery at the Pakistan embassy, Mohammed Ahad Malik also attended the event as a guest of honour who congratulated the Pakistani Diaspora on Independence Day.
