Manama: BBBF hosted “Back to Business” luncheon meeting, its first networking meeting after the summer break. The meeting was chaired by the BBBF Chairman, Khalid Al Zayani who welcomed members both old and new and their guests at the luncheon held at the Crowne Plaza Conference Centre.
Mr. Al Zayani outlined the forum’s upcoming activities and events, beginning with a brief for next year’s plans for celebrating the 200th anniversary of bi-lateral relations between Bahrain and Britain. He went on to congratulate Britain on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest reigning British Monarch in history. Mr. Al Zayani also updated the members of October’s networking event, November’s charitable Poppy Ball and finally concluding with the annual Christmas lunch.
The BBBF was set up in 1995 and has grown from the original 16 members to over 450 members today. It aims to promote trade and investment between Bahrain and Britain in a non-discriminatory, non-political and non-profit making manner. The BBBF is widely recognized in Bahrain and the UK as a leading impartial business sector group. The Forum works to create and sustain a favourable business environment. The BBBF strives to assist and introduce new trade and investment to both countries to benefit and enhance the common economic interests of our member companies.
