Manama: Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carrier, has confirmed that a regulatory maintenance requirement on some of the airline’s wide body A330 aircraft will result in temporary flight cancellations and delays which it hopes to resolve within the coming 72 hours.
The maintenance inspections are a mandatory safety procedure that Gulf Air regularly undergoes in compliance with the highest airline safety standards.
“The airline is working to minimise any disruption to its schedule and is currently in the process of managing any/all resulting delays. Gulf Air extends its sincerest apologies to all passengers impacted by the current situation, and for any inconvenience caused. All affected passengers are being accommodated and regular updates are being shared with them,” Gulf Air in a statement said.
