The Pakistan Club hosted over 800 people during a special congregation on Laylat al-Qadr at its premises on Friday evening.
The speakers during their sermons highlighted the importance of Shab-e-Qadr, or known as the Night of Decree, Night of Power, Night of Value, Night of Destiny, or Night of Measures.
It known in Islamic belief the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). It is one of the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan and is better than 1000 months of worship. Muslims believe that on this night the blessings and mercy of Allah are abundant, sins are forgiven, supplications are accepted, and that the annual decree is revealed to the angels who also descend to earth.
Special prayers were offered for the welfare and wellbeing for the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Club also served sahoor to the participants of the evening.
