MANAMA: The Kingdom of Bahrain, being one of the most competitive economies in the region, will continue to support the young talent.
“Through various initiatives, the Government continues to support the young Bahraini entrepreneurs by bringing in expertise and investors from abroad to match the requirements of the local talent in the private sector,” Capital Governor told the reporters on Sunday.
“This is the second year in a row that Bahrain is hosting the Entrepreneur and the Youth Empowerment Week with a large participation of the talented youth, investors and mentors,” His Excellency Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Capital Governor on the sidelines of the opening of the event said.
Highlighting the importance of encouraging and helping the young entrepreneurs, the Capital Governor said that he was overwhelmed the quality delegates on the opening day of Manama Entrepreneurship and Youth Empowerment Week being held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel from October 30th till November 3rd 2016.
“This is second week on Manama Entrepreneurship on the second consecutive year and idea behind it to inspire young talented Bahrainis and residents to start their own business and this initiative has produced many success stories and other can learn from it. Similarly, this initiative also help attracting entrepreneurs from other countries such as United States, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to share their success stories. I am sure this will inspire our young people to start their own business provided that they show consistency and hard work, a key to success,” HE added.
HE Shaikh Hisham applauded the role and support given by the leadership to put together such programmes which are seen as catalyst to the development of the Kingdom and human capital. “The concerted efforts of the economic development board, Tamkeen, Bahrain Development Bank and others in making this initiative a flagship programme,” he said, adding that this initiative is open for everyone including the residents as this programme will have five rounds while we are in second round this year in 2016,” HE added.
