Al Sahkir Palace: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa said that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was looking forward to more successes and achievements.
In a speech to conclude the 37th GCC summit hosted by Bahrain, HM King Hamad expressed thanks and gratitude to all those who exerted tremendous efforts to ensure its success.
Following is the text of HM the King’s speech:
It gives us great pleasure at the conclusion of the 37th summit of our esteemed council to express our immense pride at hosting it.
We wish also to express our profound appreciation of the genuine fraternal spirit that has characterized our meeting and reflected our full keenness on moving forward with our historic progress to where it ought to be.
We look forward to intensifying our joint work and consolidating our cooperation and our international presence throughout next year in a way to protect our accomplishments and ensure more achievements that fulfill the ambitions of our people for prosperity.
We thank you for your great efforts and committed endeavours that resulted in the positive decisions and results that will, God willing, achieve the noble objectives of our Council.
And, like we started with the grace of God, we conclude by thanking the Almighty for the success in the various phases of our work. We reiterate our thanks to His Excellency the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council and his assistants for their tremendous efforts in monitoring the decisions of our summit throughout the year and for arranging and preparing our summits in a manner that guarantees their successes.
