Al Sakhir Palace: British Prime Minister Theresa May said she was looking forward to beginning to build a bold new chapter in co-operation between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the United Kingdom.
She said in her speech to the GCC leaders at the 37th GCC Summit in Bahrain that her country was not looking “to develop a transactional relationship but rather to forge a strategic relationship, a relationship based on true partnership and an enduring commitment between our countries and our peoples; a relationship through which together we can meet these great challenges to our shared security and prosperity, and grab this opportunity to build an exciting future for the generations that follow us.”
