MANAMA: The Kingdom’s security forces are vigilant and continue to monitor, track and defeat terrorism to keep the society safe and secure from the scourge of extremism.
This came as His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at his palace in Riffa, the Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and the National Security Agency Head, Shaikh Talal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
HRH Prime Minister has extended thanks and appreciation to the security authorities for their success in tracking down wanted individuals, monitoring their movement, besieging them and arresting them.
HRH Premier stressed that the success of any security operation reasserts the government’s determination and strong resolve to combat terrorism, and is a message conveyed to outlaws affirming the government’s unwavering keenness to mobilise all its potentials and capabilities to protect society from their evil and danger.
The Prime Minister gave instructions to strengthen the security grip on terrorists so that they receive their due punishment and apply retribution on them, which, he said, achieves prompt justice in the state of law and institutions.
HRH Premier affirmed that quality security operations will continue to root out terrorism, destroy its incubator environment and eliminate it.
The Premier directed the security authorities to continue the search operations to bring whoever linked to terrorism, including those who support them or agree with them, to justice, commending the successful security operation, as well as the role by brave security personnel and competent security authorities in achieving security and stability.
The government is keen to ensure that the citizens and residents always enjoy security and tranquility, he emphasised.
The Interior Minister briefed HRH Premier about the successful security operation which took place recently and led to the arrest of wanted runaway inmates who fled the Jau Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre, as well as other perpetrators who are involved in terrorist cases.
The minister also informed HRH the Prime Minister about the measures taken by the Interior Ministry, in coordination with other security bodies, to implement the Premier’s directives to combat terrorism and arrest outlaws to bring them to justice.
HRH the Prime Minister praised the existing cooperation and coordination among various security authorities, stressing that clear directives have been issued to those authorities to deal with terrorist incidents in accordance with the requirements of protecting their safety and the security of the nation and the citizens within the framework determined by the law and order.
