MANAMA: There has been a major surge in the new commercial registrations (CRs) reaching 61000 since 2014 with total capital of $2.2 billion. The total number of CRs is 88000.
Mr Zayed Al Zayani, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, on Monday said that the Kingdom’s economy will continue to outperform even in the challenging economic climate being faced by the region.
During a Press conference, the Minister said that MOICT would continue work as a catalyst for economic development as well as creating more jobs.
The Minister also highlighted the quarterly economic indicators according to which the Kingdom had recorded 4.2% GDP growth in the first quarter.
“The economic development is impressive when we see in the regional and international economic realities. There is a war in Yemen, development like Qatar and so many other developments surrounding this region and a sustained pattern of growth of Bahrain’s economy are good.”
