MANAMA: The private sector in Bahrain has applauded HRH Prime Minister’s keenness in resolving the CR fee hike which according to local businesses will rendered many businesses redundant due to growing operational costs and competitive business climate in Bahrain and across the region.
On Sunday, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister has issued directives asking Zayed Al Zayani the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism to hold talks with Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) regarding hike in the commercial registration (CR) fees from September 22nd, 2017.
HRH the Prime Minister tasked the minister to chair a governmental commission including various specializations to consider the Chamber’s views regarding these fees and to solve any issues in this regard with Bait Al-Tijjar.
HRH the Premier’s directive emanates from his keenness on the commercial and investment sector in Bahrain and in appreciation of the BCCI’s role as the representative of this sector and the partner with the government. His Royal Highness stressed the government’s keenness to consider the views of the relevant and specialized sides. The ministry has also been directed to inform Bait Al-Tijjar about these fees in advance.
