Startup Bahrain Week is a community-led initiative that brings together the region’s most exciting start-up events and connects some of the brightest entrepreneurial minds, with more than 2,500 people from around the world expected to participate. The week’s activities will include five events, four competitions and more than 30 speakers from Bahrain and the region. “Supporting the startup sector is a major focus for the EDB, as they encourage growth, accelerate economic diversification and create jobs. Today, Bahrain offers an integrated ecosystem for technology-centric entrepreneurship to enable startups to grow and expand rapidly. This important event builds on a series of initiatives that are further strengthening Bahrain’s position as an ideal regional hub for entrepreneurs, offering an attractive environment that provides competitive advantages to grow in this dynamic sector,” Khalid Al Rumaihi, Chief Executive of the Bahrain EDB, said.
“Tamkeen has developed a range of programs that provide support to startups that need to develop their business. It is important that emerging companies receive support as well as access to advisory services to help them increase productivity and growth. The participation of entrepreneurs in the Start-Up Bahrain Week will undoubtedly inspire them to learn about participants’ experiences and increase their contact with their partners in this sector,” Dr. Ebrahim Janahi, Chief Executive of Tamkeen said.
