MANAMA: As part of the celebrations marking the 120th Independence Day of Philippines, Al Hilal Hospital and Philippines Professional Organization (PPO), with the support of the Philippines Embassy and various Filipino organizations, announced a major health collaboration.
Dr Sharath Chandran CEO of Al Hilal Healthcare, and The Ambassador of Philippines, His Excellency Mr Alfonso Ver joined hands to launch a privilege card to facilitate the health requirements of the entire Filipino community in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In cooperation with the various Filipino associations, a special pre-Independence Day screening was organized at Al Hilal Multispecialty Center in Adliya. The event kicked off with the speeches of his Excellency the Ambassador of Philippines and the CEO of Al Hilal Healthcare where both emphasized the importance of periodical health checkups. As part of the initiative and to cater to the needs of the Filipino community in Bahrain a special privilege card was unveiled by Al Hilal Healthcare Group enabling Philippines community to avail health care facilities at the highly discounted rate.
A special camp with the support of Philippines Professional Organization was also conducted by Al Hilal Healthcare group which covered free consultations as well as free investigations for the 400 plus attendees.
“We are delighted and very thankful to Al Hilal healthcare group for taking this initiative. We are glad to collaborate for a cause like health which needs due importance periodically. This association will highly raise our community members’ awareness on the different chronic diseases and will help them to detect any issues at an early stage while providing them with the needed treatments and guidance,” said His Excellency the Ambassador of Philippines.
“We have a strong presence in the Kingdom with more than 60,000 people and to ensure that they are in good health too is our responsibility, so let’s make use of this programme suggested by Al Hilal” he added.
“Associating today with the Philippines community is a step forward for us in our commitment to reach out and provide a broad spectrum of healthcare services to all communities in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Our main intention is to highlight the seriousness of ignoring health issues, we have been and we will keep reaching out to other communities too with these privilege cards and other offers so that no one around us compromises their health at any cost. We are extremely thankful to the Filipino community for putting their trust in us and partnering up for a healthy future,” Dr Sharath Chandran, CEO Al Hilal Healthcare Group, said.
