MANAMA: As the Pakistan community living in the Kingdom of Bahrain is celebrating the 72nd Independence Day, there are high hopes among the community members from Imran Khan Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI).
This year’s celebrations blended with a change of Government in Pakistan as a result of general elections 2018 paving the way for the PTI leader to take reins of the government after taking the oath of the Prime Minister office later this week.
“I would like to congratulate all Pakistanis living in Bahrain and elsewhere a very happy Independence Day. We are on the precipice of a pivotal time in Pakistan’s history. With the election of Imran Khan, Pakistanis have great hope for the direction in which our country is heading towards. Imran Khan has managed to energize the Pakistani youth which is so full of potential and for years had remained untapped,” Engineer Qamar ul Hassan, a community leader and social worker in his message said.
Qamar, despite having served at the board of the Bahrain Society of Engineers, also served as Director at the Pakistan Club, the oldest community platform in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“With a highly qualified uncorrupted government and a passionate diaspora, the next chapter will be of exceptional growth for Pakistan. I pray that the people of Pakistan remain successful in the great endeavour they have taken on. We overseas Pakistanis pledge to support Pakistan in any way necessary and hope to see Pakistan as a beacon of prosperity in the years to come,” Qamar, added.
“Pakistan historically enjoys friendly and brotherly relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain which has grown stronger over the years and both sides will continue to seek new heights of excellence in all areas of common interests,” Qmar said while highlighting the importance of excellent bilateral ties between Pakistan and Bahrain.
