MANAMA: Business-owners, experts and speakers at the opening session of the 4th Manama Entrepreneurship Week shed light on the success, challenges and growth potential for an array of businesses.
The vibrant debates on business success will help to unlock the potential of the Bahraini startups by learning from the experiences of the success stories not only from the region but from the global perspective.
Held under the patronage of HE Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor, Capital Governorate in cooperation with Tamkeen MEW 2018 will continue for a week with a tall agenda of events being held across the Kingdom and rich debates on all aspects of businesses.
“By inviting global experts, businesses and success stories to Bahrain is in fact an effort to elevate the level of thinking of Bahraini youth to the international level who are committed to surmount all challenges in business,” HE Shaikh Hisham on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of MEW 2018 told The24X7News Bahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com).
HE Governor in his opening remarks applauded the efforts of the organisers of the 4th Manama Entrepreneurship Week. “This has become an annual anniversary for the youths who are interested to become entrepreneurs since the highlights of the event include high quality seminars, meetings and workshops lead by a number of experts and successful entrepreneurs of all kinds. It also sheds light on the major promising opportunities, and guide the young entrepreneurs a wise and well thought of vision and a well thought strategy. On this occasion I would like to welcome our distinguished guests, wishing them pleasant stay in the Kingdom of Bahrain and in Manama, the capital,” HE Governor said.
“We aim through continuing the organization of this event at the Capital to support the culture of entrepreneurship among the Bahraini youths, and motivate them to proceed towards establishing their own projects through guiding them to the right path to commence their own projects, thus triggering their creativity and inspiration through considering many successful local and international experiences that were fueled by creativity and innovation. The only path to develop leadership is creating challenges and employment opportunities,” HE Governor added.
“Our wise leadership has given special attention to the youths and allocated many programs and projects that are targeted towards enabling and advancing their capabilities. It has strived to provide an incubator environment for the young entrepreneurs and helping them to start their small projects and develop them to enhance development of this sector, thus benefiting our national economy in the face of the current challenges based on the objectives and plans of the State to diversify its resources and support the sustainable development of our national economy in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain Vision 2030.”
Today, HE Governor said, we are proud that the Kingdom of Bahrain with its creative youth generation who has been able to prove their excellence and place their thumbs on the map of success. No obstacles nor any impediments stopped them but they believed in their abilities and capabilities to be a national example that we are all proud of. “Your presence today and your participation in this event’s programs, you in fact reiterate your desire in changing the path of your life and engage in the field of entrepreneurship being the future of countries. My advice to you is taken from a saying by the CEO of Tesla Company: Elon Musk “If you’re trying to create a company it’s like baking a cake. You should have all the ingredients in the right proportion”. My advice to the participants is: “The people must follow what they love. This makes them much happier and creative in the fields of entrepreneurship.’’
The Fourth Manama Entrepreneurship Week will include 15 workshops and specialized discussion panels lead by 30 speakers from a number of countries including: Kingdom of Bahrain, United State of America, Australia, Hong Kong, Germany, France and Turkey. This year event is inspired by the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister in moving towards the numerical economy. His message during the AWS Summit Bahrain was fruitful “We will harness technology to support entrepreneurship and encourage creativity and more economic diversification”. His message motivated us to follow the subjects discussed during the event while the State is moving towards moving from knowledge economy to digital economy. Therefore, the workshops and meetings of the event will discuss the updates in the entrepreneurship sector such as financial technology, business future, market changes and creativity. This will enable the participants to view various experiences and creative ideas that suit all spheres of entrepreneurship and consistent with the State’s aspirations.
