Manama: In response to customers’ requests which have been gathered during the evaluation process of the Information & eGovernment Authority’s (iGA) Identity Card Centers by the Taqeem programme; iGA stated that it has provided more parking lots for customers visiting the Identity Card Center at Isa Town branch in collaboration with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.
Mohamed Ali AlQaed Chief Executive iGA expressed its gratitude to the Works Affairs for their prompt response as it studied the capability of increasing the number of parking lots, addressed the request in a record time and had collaborated with the General Directorate of Traffic (GDT). This has resulted in providing more parking spaces during a small period of time. AlQaed also praised the Ministry of Works’ adoption to the project as a financing entity along with the (Road Planning) as an implementation entity.
It is worth mentioning that the Authority has allocated 25 additional parking spaces to the current available spaces in a near distance to the center’s building to facilitate its accessibility to customers and implement standards as well as requirements of Taqeem which is concerned in providing easy access to service centers.
