Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) obtained the ISO 27001/2013 certification for Information Security Management System issued by the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO), in line with CBB’s commitment to maintaining the highest quality in information security.
The ISO certification was presented to the Executive Director of Corporate Services at the CBB, Yousif Rashid Al Fadhel, in the presence of the Governor and the IT Directorate team.
ISO 27001 is considered as an ideal framework for information security and protection controls and the CBB’s IT infrastructure.
Al Maraj praised the CBB team for this achievement and the work rendered for achieving the certification. He further praised the Bahraini competencies, in particular the IT Directorate staff, who complement the efforts of other CBB staff in supervising the financial sector.
