MANAMA: As the countdown for the 7th Global HSE Conference and Exhibition 2019 kicks start, the Kingdom of Bahrain plans to become global hub for creating health and safety benchmarks for multi-billion-dollar Oil and Gas industry.
The 7th edition of the Global Health, Safety and Environment Conference and Exhibition will be held under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, the Kingdom of Bahrain. This year’s conference will be titled HSE Excellence – ‘Efficiency, Flexibility and Sustainability’ is set to take place from September 30th to October 3rd 2019 at the Gulf International Convention Center in the Gulf Hotel.
The event is being organized by ICONEX an international event management company in coordination with the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and with the support of Saudi Aramco, Bahrain National Gas Company (BANAGAS) and many local, regional and international companies.
This event will be attended by a number of executives and senior officials from various companies specialized in the oil and gas sector, as well as interested professionals in this field to discuss many valuable and exciting topics related to health, safety and environment and the latest developments in this area.
H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, praised the continuation of hosting this Global Conference of Health, Safety and Environment series in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as it reflects the Kingdom’s good reputation in organizing various international events, and the continuous support of the Kingdom towards achieving the desired goals and objectives of global HSE concerns and best practices implementation.
Guided by the Kingdom`s 2030 vision, the National Oil and Gas Authority, stresses the importance of health, safety, and environment for the development of human capital and its impact on the economic and social development of the industrial modernization and production efficiency in Bahrain. He pointed out that the oil & Gas Companies and all industrial sectors affiliated to the National Oil and Gas Authority always strive to develop training plans and work to update all employees on the latest programs related country`s industrial modernization and production efficiency to occupational health and safety, which aims to create a safe working environment free from risks that may cause damage and loss to facilities and human capital.
H.E. the Minister of Oil highly values to encourage participation of various companies, technicians, specialists and academics in this conference, which represents a good opportunity to exchange knowledge experiences and best practices. Wishing all success to the conference participants in achieving the desired goals and benefit from the specialized papers and exhibitors in HSE development of the Oil and Gas sector.
The conference will include a high-profile opening ceremony, with two high level keynote address sessions, 4 panel discussions, 16 technical sessions and seven workshops that will focus on several important topics, such as modernization systems, risk management, best practices and successful practical experiences in the areas of health, safety, and environment, and many other specialized topics. The conference will also witness the participation of 120 expert speakers in this field and is expected to welcome more than 1500 participants from 25 countries.
In addition to the conference, an accompanying exhibition will be held with the expected participation of more than 50 companies from various local, regional and international organization to showcase the latest technology and expertise related to safety, health and environment, which includes devices, equipment and modern system applications. The participants will have the opportunity to network and meet a large number of representatives participating in this event, including Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Bahrain National Gas Company (BANAGAS), Sadara, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Tatweer Petroleum, Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), Petroleum Development Oman, Alba, Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) And other international companies.
