MANAMA: Training and specialized courses serve as vital pillars to human capital development which play a pivotal role in achieving national goals.
H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, was speaking as he opened at the Bahrain Society for Training and Development (BSTD) 2nd Annual Human Resources Development International Conference, under the theme of “Innovation and Future Skills.”
The Minister said that necessary training and professional qualifications help in equipping the talented local workforce which play crucial role in achieving national goals in all sectors.
NOGA has been very supportive to the outstanding role played by the oil companies in supporting, rehabilitating and developing young national cadres in order to get up jobs in companies.
The event was also attended by Dr Ebrahim Al Dossary, Media Advisor to HRH Prime Minister and the Founder President of the BTSD in presence of number of CEOs, managers, media, VIP’s and experts in the field of training and development of local, regional and international human resources, development organisations.
The speakers highlighted latest programmes and events that contribute to the transfer of experiences and acquire necessary knowledge that will help equipping with information and skills that enable them to understand the process of human development.
The conference was organized by the BSTD in cooperation with the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO) in coordination with the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and with the support of Tamkeen, The Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding), Nass Corporation, Al Salam Bank and a number of local and regional companies.
H.E. the Minister of Oil praised the role played by the BSTD in promoting and developing the human element and its efforts to attract the latest programs and events that contribute to the transfer of expertise and the acquisition of new knowledge that will help provide information to the individuals and develop their skills that enables them to understand the process of human development.
HE Minister noted the importance of empowering the young Bahraini human element that are capable of keeping up with modern technologies in various disciplines in order to raise the Kingdom of Bahrain and strive to overcome all global difficulties and challenges through innovation and creativity.
H.E. The Minister said that NOGA and all oil companies were keen to provide specialized courses and studies in the oil sector to all its young Bahraini cadres to enable them and imitate them in senior management positions to participate in finding appropriate solutions under challenges, difficulties and global competition in this field, which in turn will enhance the development of the oil sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
H.E. the Minister stressed the vital and outstanding role played by the oil companies NOGA in supporting, rehabilitating and developing young national cadres in order to free up jobs in companies in line with the government’s distinguished directives in this regard.
“The Oil and Gas Academy in The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) and its important role in providing appropriate specialized scientific qualifications in oil and gas, through which young cadres are trained and developed in the Kingdom through the development of specialized programs and activities in this regard.
H.E. the Minister of Oil noted the results of the training programmes, which played a major role in achieving national achievements honoring all levels, the most important of which is the great historical oil discovery that was discovered by an ambitious young Bahraini’s, in addition to the launch of a number of oil projects that will return to the benefit of the national economy.
H.E. the Minister of Oil thanked the organizers for their good preparation and organization, which contributed positively to the large participation in the conference, and extended his thanks and appreciation to the speakers, heads of meetings, delegations and supporting companies, wishing them all the best in their future aspirations serving the methodology of development, modernization and human resource development.
The conference is showcasing a number of technical papers and the latest experiences in innovation, digital transformation and artificial intelligence by local and international experts and speakers, including Dr. Ramin Mohajer, Advisor to the Ministry of Technology and Communications in Oman, Dr. Bijan Majidi, CEO of Dinamica International, Hassan Jarrar, CEO of Bahrain Islamic Bank, Dr. Akbar Jaffari, CEO of Jafcon Consultants for Productivity Improvement, and Dr. Jassim Haji, President of Artificial Intelligence Society.
In addition to identifying new methods of digital planning and leadership of the HR officer, encouraging creativity and innovation in the work environment, and demonstrating its impact on the qualitative shift in productivity and performance. The second day will focus on application and practice skills through training workshops on promoting corporate innovation with design thinking, human capital practices geared to organizational innovation, and the digital human resources leader.
