MANAMA: As the game lovers are riveting their eyes at the Blast Pro Series Global Final at Isa Sports City which kicked off on Friday, the winning team will take $500,000 cash prize home on Saturday once the final concludes at the Blast Pro Series gaming contest.
Major General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor opened the fantastic gaming show in attendance of Zayed Al Zayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and Ayman Tawfiq Almoayyed, the Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs at Isa Sports City on Friday. Given the importance and viewership and fan following, Blast Pro Series has emerged as the highest profile sporting event in Bahrain after F1 Grand Prix. The Blast Pro Series is the most explosive, engaging and entertaining esports tournament in the world. Hundreds of talented and game lovers were overwhelmed as the game progressed on Friday at Isa Sports City and enchanted slogans in support of their favourite teams.
The Ministry of Youth and Sport (MYS) and the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) in partnership with BLAST have brought this world-class esports festival to Bahrain. The festival is being held at Isa Sports City and will include a Fan Fest and two days of high octane esports.
The spectacular final event is the seventh-stop world tour and being held in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the first time, making it the biggest esports event ever held in the region.
The Global Final will crown the 2019 BLAST Pro Series Season Champion. The champion team will win 131,00 Bahraini Dinar ($350,000 USD). The total prize pool for BLAST Pro Series 2019 season is 752,000 Bahraini Dinar (2 million USD).
Ayman Tawfiq Almoayyed, the Bahrain Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, quoted saying “Esports is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.
