MANAMA: The Kingdom of Bahrain has imposed a ban, till further orders, on five-time prayer congregations in the mosque in an effort to limit the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19 possibly through human contact.
The ban will take into effect from Maghrib prayer Monday March 23, 2020, Rajab 28th 1441 AH. The ban will remain in force till further orders by the concerned authorities. The Kingdom has also imposed a ban on social gathering of five or more and there is hefty penalty of BD10,000 and jail term or both for the violators of the ban.
The social distancing is seen one of the keys being encouraged by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the individual countries across the globally currently fighting the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19.
